Yeah, it has been a very long time in getting a web page finished. In fact, I've put it off.
Why?
Well, that's pretty easy to explain. You see, it's hard for a writer, any writer to pour their heart and soul into a project. It not only consumes a lot of time (which, by the way, will pass as instants when you're lost in your own imagination) but is takes a lot of energy and emotion. Writing really is a draining activity, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Now, when you put so much into something, all you really want is for people to at least check it out, yes?
Therin lies my problem. I could never get folks interested. No matter how many course I took, how much ad material I made, videos, or simple word of mouth. Nobody really cared. Those that wanted to pretend to care are the ones that were charging me money for. Yeah, no. Not gonna happen. Sorry.
So as one can imagine, I was pretty down in the dumps. Hadn't written barely a scrap of anything outside of manuals and SOP's for work.
Yeah, it was that bad.
But you can't just flop it like a dead fish. Nothing important to anybody has ever finished itself. That'd be pretty damned neat, but that's just not how it works.
So, here I am. Making a webpage, knuckling under and piecing it together a little bit at a time. I find the more I work at it, the more I feel like I am getting my drive back.
And you kow what? I like that feeling.
So, I'm scrapping it back together, getting everything, in no other real sense, organised not only for those who may be interested, but for myself.
I am also, just to note, going to post these little bits and pieces in my blog here into my Google+ page. Most ofthe material here is there already, but this is done in the hopes that by linking them together, I have a bridge to remind myself to get off my ass and get back to creating worlds, saving lives, and giving the world what I have bouncing around in my noodle.
Cheers.
