The Story
For centuries, the human race thought itself the top of the
evolutionary ladder.
How wrong they are.
From the shadowed and misty past came the first humans, those who grew and evolved first and advanced
beyond their more recent cousins. Having migrated to the mystical world of Danitrae after a terrible conflict, the government of Mythidria - the Congress of Mages - and Mythidria's leader, the Mage Locke, send warriors to Earth to protect it from the appearance of hideous beasts called "netherfiends" over the millennia. Their purpose and reasoning? The incursions are, in part, their fault.
There have been two major, world-shattering wars in the timeline of Mythidria, the most recent conflict being that of the Great Necromancer Uprising. Two colony-states of Mythidria, Atlantis and Lemuria, grew to peace
and prosperity in their own right. The governments of Atlantis - a technological marvel, and Lemuria being a magical kingdom had been usurped by greed, avarice, paranoia, and hate. The two countries joined forces to invade Mythidria from two sides and overthrow their mother nation. Hundreds of thousands of slave-warriors, mystics of horrible power (having renamed themselves the Necromancers Guild), and war-machines of terrible might assaulted Mythidria with an onslaught that would dwarf modern combat. In a desperate and daring
manouever, the Congress of Mages combined their might and that of their greatest spellcrafters to completely remove the island continent of Mythidria from this plane of existence and into the welcoming arms of Danitrae's native populace - the creatures of myth and legend. After help from the dragona, elves, dwarves, centaurii, manticori, and others; Mythidria returned as a major power and force for good and peace in two spheres of reality.
The valiant special operatives, called "Paladins", use their advanced physical abilities, technology, and weapon specializations to quell each attack as they occur. Each Paladin is different and distinctive within the Paladin
Corps. No two are alike, other than in their dedication to protect life and keep the Earth and their homeland safe. They are the special forces of their world, a part of the Mythidrian Protectorate, but also separate from it. They are easily identified within the ranks of their peers by their appearance which isreflective of their code names given after a special sorcerous ceremony unique to each and every fighter.
In the modern era, the status quo crumbles. An ancient and frightening prophesy has begun to self-fulfill, heralding the return of one of the most malevolent villains the modern world has never known. This despotic archfiend

In the modern era, the status quo crumbles. An ancient and frightening prophesy has begun to self-fulfill, heralding the return of one of the most malevolent villains the modern world has never known. This despotic archfiend
- brings with him nothing but darkness and an evil that pales any since its existence. If his resurrection succeeds, the Earth - no - the entire universe and Danitrae will all fall.
